Gaming Room Decor Ideas Canada: How to Build a Setup That Actually Looks Good

Most gaming setups fall into one of two camps: a bare desk with a monitor and a mess of cables, or a hyper-produced RGB disaster that looks like a server room exploded. There's a middle ground that's harder to find — a setup that feels intentional, personal, and actually good-looking.

This post is about building that. Specifically, how to add character to a Canadian gaming space using pieces that aren't generic, aren't imported cheaply, and don't look like everyone else's setup.

Start with the Wall

The single highest-impact upgrade to a gaming room is what's on the wall behind or beside the setup. A monitor is a monitor — but a wall that's thoughtfully decorated makes the whole space feel like your space.

What works:

HueForge art prints are uniquely suited to gaming rooms because they're made using 3D printing — which feels native to the space — but the output looks like framed concept art or detailed illustration. A HueForge print of a game character on the wall behind your desk reads as intentional, collected, and personal. Not like a poster you bought at a mall.

Backlit wall panels are another strong option. 3D printed geometric panels or character-themed signs look entirely different with RGB strip lighting behind them — the light catches the layer lines and texture in a way you can't replicate with any other material.

Wall-mounted game card displays are a space-efficient way to show off a collection without shelving.

The Shelf Is Your Gallery

Gaming shelves are display space, not just storage. The best-looking setups treat shelf objects the way a gallery treats art — with intentional spacing, varied heights, and a few standout pieces.

What to put on a gaming shelf:

The rule: leave breathing room. Five great pieces with space between them beat fifteen things crammed together every time.

Desk Accessories That Earn Their Place

Every object on the desk competes for space. The best desk accessories are things you'd keep even if they weren't cool-looking — because they're also useful.

Worth desk space:

Lighting: The Multiplier

Lighting doesn't just illuminate a room — it transforms how everything else in it looks. 3D printed pieces especially benefit from good lighting because the layer texture and geometry become visible.

Where to Find Canadian-Made Gaming Decor

The problem with most gaming decor is that it's mass-produced in China, arrives in generic poly-mailers, and looks like it. For a setup that feels personal, the source matters.

At BerryBroCreations, everything is made by me (Jon) in Ontario. I 3D print and crochet every piece myself. Ships from Ontario — no customs, no multi-week waits, no generic packaging.
